Upon closer examination, however, the book of James, like the rest of Scripture, confirms that we are not saved by what we do, but by what Jesus has done!

Was Pharaoh Morally Culpable?

PharaohIf it was God who caused Pharaoh's heart to be hardened (Exodus 14:4), then how could Pharaoh be held morally responsible (and therefore, accountable) for his refusal to allow God’s people go? In fact, did Pharaoh have any free will in the matter, and if not, how could God then hold him morally culpable?
